Case Study
ORCCA Study
The client:
ORCCA – Outcomes Registry for Cardiac Conditions in Athletes
The ORCCA study aims to monitor clinical outcomes in athletes diagnosed with cardiac conditions at risk for sudden death.
What we did:
- Created a visual identity and branding
- Designed and developed a website
- Social media marketing
- Event branding
How we did it:
The brief for the ORCCA Study brand was to create a new visual identity from scratch based on the ORCCA acronym. The clients were keen to incorporate a whale (Orca) and the association to the heart. The red/black/white colour scheme was decided early on, with several iterations of the logo being trialled before settling on the final design. The biggest challenge of this part of the process was how to incorporate several ideas into an icon that was both simple and practical.
We collected a small library of images that could be used across the brand, that had a consistent look and feel but also represented the target audience. The images formed an important backdrop for presentation slides, the design of the website and across social media.
The website was a key requirement in this project as it incorporates the registration form so that athletes and their doctors/coaches can sign up to the important study on cardiac conditions. WLS designed and developed the site alongside developing the brand.
Our marketing team got involved to create the #HeartSafe hashtag which they have used to promote the study via social media, with our team responsible for managing the socials on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
“White Leaf Solutions has an incredible team that was seamless to work with. The end product, our ORCCA logo and stunning study website, has provided our research the necessary brand and functionality required for success.”
